Plastic Melt Thermocouple
Plastic Melt Thermocouple These robust sensors have been designed to withstand the high pressures that are found within the nozzles of plastics extruders and injection molding machines where they are used in order to measure the temperature of the molten medium. Available as standard in either 3” or 6” bolt lengths with either a 0.2” long or flush sensing tip length, they have an insulated junction and are terminated in a standard round pin thermocouple plug.

  • Thermocouple types K and J available
  • 3” or 6” bolt lengths available
  • Bolt thread: 1/2 inch UNF 20, material: 316 stainless steel
  • Sensing tip diameter: 0.125”
  • Sensing tip length: Either 0.2” or flush
  • Insulated sensing junction
  • Operating temperature: 32ºF to 1100ºF at tip (0ºC to 600ºC)
